Mick Rutherford started his career in 1963 and has always said that he learned the blues by sitting and listening to his mentor Alexis Korner, who he worked with during the 60s. Mick has performed well over 3,000 gigs in his career and this year (2007) is in his 45th year of rocknroll despite retiring three times.

He has also appeared on the same bill as: The Jimmy Hendrix Experience, Black Sabbath, The Groundhogs, Saxon, Budgie, Mammoth, The Blues Band, Jethro Tull, Bruce Dickenson Band, The Pretty Things, Juicy Lucy and The Who among others.
