Exit the station via the front of the building and turn immediate left. You will be able to see the side of the Broadmarsh shopping centre ahead of you over three roads. The first runs along the side of the station. Cross this and when you get to the next set of lights go straight over and head slightly right to the underpass. Go through the underpass. This brings you up to a foyer for the Broadmarsh shopping centre. Turn right and go through the doors into the shopping centre (still open as a thoroughfare after hours) and go throught he other side. You are now in a pedestrian area which heads up hill. Follow this until you get to the church on the right having past Hotel Chocolat on the right. Looking ahead and slightly left you will see the frontage for the Virgin Megastore. Walk up past this and you will be able to see the end of Old Market Square to the right of Burtons. Straight ahead you will see Market Street which has the Theatre Royal at the top. Walk up towards the theatre and past it to the left. As you pass it you will see a tall fenced-off white building and if you look up the road to your left you will be able to see the entrance to Rock City.
